A trip to Coex Mall and Aquarium

Today I decided to explore the area of Samseong which is known for their Coex Shopping mall. The shopping mall is HUMONGOUS! I can't even put into words how large this shopping complex is. The area is divided into 4 sections containing shops, restaurants, a Megabox movie theater, and its own Aquarium.

The aquarium is pretty big so don't let the outside deceive you! The entrance fee is ₩17,500 won which is roughly $17.50 which may be a bit steep, but definitely worth it!

Inside the Aquarium (main entrance)
The aquarium has such a variety of fishes, sharks, and other marine life. What makes it so amazing is that there are certain varieties of fish that I have never seen before (back home in Hawaii).

Strange slug/fish thing
But what REALLY threw me off was the fact that this so called "Aquarium" had bats, monkeys, insects, and other non ocean creatures.

Bats on display hanging from a sprinkler system
Monkey that wouldn't stay still

Super UGLY beaver that would stand up and pose for you...
Sea otter!
They also had albino manta rays!

First time seeing a manatee! Reminded me of a crawling potato

But the best part of the aquarium was the penguins! They were so funny and very entertaining to watch. There was a slide where the penguins can slide down, caves, and a huge pool. One penguin even came up to me when I tapped on the glass!
