It's a beautiful Wednesday morning and I love the fact that I don't have school!
So let me catch you up on my current situation. I got accepted for UH Manoa's MIX program which allows me to study abroad in a foreign country of my choice at an affiliated partner school. After applying through UH's MIX program I decided to at Yonsei University located in Seoul, Korea. The best part is that school in Korea doesn't start until March 1 and that I only pay UH's tuition!
However, I did come across a few hardships before even getting to Korea. My first problem was that I had no idea how to wire money to foreign bank to pay for my dorm. What made it worse was that my credit union couldn't figure it out either... After worrying about the possibility of being homeless in Korea I decided to transfer the money from another financial institution. Luckily Bank of Hawaii wired the money with no problem at all!
As of now I have my Letter of Acceptance, my VISA, my single roomed dorm, my plain ticket (scheduled to depart on the morning of February 16), my scholarship money, and some Korean Won. So I guess the next step is to wait until class registration and just continue to enjoy my extended winter break!
